ROSSLAND, WARFIELD, TRAIL, MONTROSE, FRUITVALE AND AREA A & B

South Kootenay Wonder Day

Crepes-be8c0a06

Itinerary By: Jessica Lindon

Breakfast Suggestion:

Zee Crêpes Café & Thé – Warfield – The Classic Crepe or the Nutella & Strawberries

Morning Activities:

Take the dog and the family for a walk to Beaver Falls in Fruitvale, even in the winter this walk is beautiful, make sure to bring your camera!

Lunch Suggestion:

Rustic Crust Pizza – Trail – you can walk to it from Gyro park and get yourself a gourmet slice of pizza followed by homemade gelato

Afternoon Activities:

Let the kids burn off their energy at Gyro Park. This time of year its nice to walk along the river on a sunny day with the family. In warmer seasons they can play at the beach, on the playground, kick a soccer ball around or skateboard at the skatepark (my six-year-olds favorite)

Once your cheeks are nice and rosy…
Grab a coffee at Trail Coffee Co and head out to Kootenay Made Co in the Waneta Plaza to treat yourself to a bath bomb, a locally made toque for our cold Kootenay weather and some goats milk soap to keep your skin from drying out with all the handwashing we do these days. Don’t forget any last minute Christmas shopping you need to do!

Dinner Suggestion:

RossBerry – Rossland – for the seafood pasta or the beef dip!

Evening Activities:

If the night is clear, drive to the trail head of the Centennial Trail in Rossland and enjoy the incredible view of the stars.

Head home and enjoy a relaxing bath with your supplies from Kootenay Made, maybe top it all off with a winter cocktail with Vale Vodka from Kootenay West Distilling.
